Here at Cuerden Valley Park we offer a wide ranging national curriculum based Education Programme for Schools and are the only site in Lancashire able to offer River Studies as an option.

How to Book

All groups (self-led or otherwise) must book in advance to ensure availability of the park & teaching sessions. Please book provisionally by email or telephone and then return the booking form to confirm your visit and programme requirements. As we are a charity, there is a small charge per child to cover staff and administrative costs. Orienteering (self led) £2, Half Day (1 activity) £4.50, Full Day (1 activity + Orienteering) £6, Full Day (2 activities) £6.50 except Harry Potter Experience and Victorians which are £7.  There is a minimum daily charge of £120.   There is no charge for teachers or adult helpers.

Please contact the either Clare Thompson, our Education Officer, or John Phillips on 01772 324436 or by e-mailing us at  Classroom facilities are available for the children to leave lunches etc. Please note that we do go out in bad weather although we do reserve the right to provide an indoor alternative to the programme requested in exceptional circumstances.

Clare Thompson is our Education Officer and runs our Education Programme with the help of a dedicated team of volunteers. If you would like to customise your day on the Park to cover your own requirements, please speak to Clare with your ideas and we will do whatever we can to accommodate you.  For example, we may be able to adapt our activities to fit in with a novel you are reading in class.
